Steve Hannon is organizing fundraising opportunities for our scholarship endowment. Our Alumni Club can earn $15 per hour per person by providing at least ten volunteers aged 18 and above to events covered by BEST SECURITIES.  The shifts typically last around 7 hours, and volunteers will be mostly standing, but breaks will be provided. The opportunities initially included the June 30 and July 1 concerts at Paycor, but it was suggested to expand to FC Cincinnati home matches in May, June, and July, as well as Bengals home games. The opportunity is not limited to alumni and can be extended to adult children, neighbors, and relatives. Depending on the assignment, volunteers may have the chance to take a break and see part of the concert. For FC Cincinnati matches, parking is free, and a bus will transport volunteers from a downtown Cincinnati garage to the stadium. Interested individuals can contact Steve Hannon at 513-382-9601 or email steve.hannon2@gmail.com for questions or to sign up. The email should include preferred dates of availability, full name, and email address. Confirmation emails will be sent for scheduled volunteers. If less than ten people volunteer for an event, it will not be worked. The listed events in May, June, and July include FC Cincinnati matches on May 20, June 3, July 1, and July 15, as well as Taylor Swift concerts on June 30 and July 1. There are also two International matches scheduled for July, with more details to be provided later.

I want to take this time to recognize our VP, Dave Beeman. Dave has been the workhorse in coordinating all our volunteers and keeping everyone on track to complete our club’s mission. He has worked tirelessly with them as well as our OSU liaison.

Additionally, I would like to say that we have formed a tremendous team of veteran & new volunteers that would rival any club.

Blessed to know you all and looking forward to seeing what 2023-24 will bring to our club.
