President’s Message November 2023

Betsy Grimes had a “Cook with Me” event on Oct 27 at 6 p.m. She cooked Coq au Vin. Her husband, Gerard Fournier gave a demonstration and history of various cheeses and the French wines that compliment each cheese. Several of us were able to attend in person and many others watched through Zoom. Thanks to Betsy and Gerard for a wonderful event.

November 4 is our Away Rutgers Football Bus Trip. We have had limited interest in this trip so we will be evaluating any future bus trips.

Our Annual Christmas Party has been rescheduled to December 9 at Warped Wing Brew Pub & Smokery in Mason. Watch for more information on the cost and when to sign up.

We will have another event at the Spicy Olive in January. More details to follow.

Monthly board and committee meeting will be Nov 8 at Bourbon Kitchen, 2231 N. Verity Parkway Middletown 6pm. New volunteers are welcome to join us.

There will be no December board meeting.  We will resume in January.  We are looking into alternating locations for our meetings but nothing has been reserved at this point.

We are hoping we have some new volunteers to help chair various 2024 events. This would include going to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Game, Championship/Bowl Game watch parties and other various activities. Let me know if you have time to make a few calls and organize an event. We would all be grateful.
