President’s Message February 2024

February Meeting scheduled for Feb 14 at the Bourbon Kitchen 2231 N, Verity Parkway 6-7:30 p.m. Heather Reister, Ohio State Extension Educator of Butler County will be our guest.

The wine tasting event at the Spicy Olive 7671 Cox Rd West Chester was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope to reschedule later this year.                                   

We will be attending the Men’s Basketball Game vs Purdue on Feb.18 at the Shott.

Joan Grigger has assembled her Scholarship Committee. The applicants have until March 1 to submit their application through Ohio State. We will be providing up-to three scholarships this year.

Georgette Wilson has organized a volunteer event at Matthew 25 Ministries, Blue Ash on April 20, 2024 from 9-11 a.m. A notice has been sent with a link to sign up for the event, your shirt size for your new Buckeye Volunteer shirt and an rsvp request if you will be staying for lunch.        

Doug Dunlap is looking for additional volunteers for our inaugural Charity Bike/Walk on June 8. The proceeds will benefit our endowment. Please reach out to Doug at 513-256-1552 or dougdunlap58@gmail.com if you would like to serve on his committee.

Steve Hannon will chair the away football bus trip.  We are planning (if everything goes well) to attend the Michigan State game on Saturday, September 28.

I am looking for a chairperson to coordinate a family event at the Dayton Dragons baseball game. This spring or early summer. Let me know if you would like to help.
